One 400g block typically lasts 5-7 days for a flock of 4-6 chickens, depending on how enthusiastically they peck at it. Larger flocks will work through it faster, while smaller flocks may take longer.

How high should I hang it?
Hang the block approximately 15-20cm (6-8 inches) from the ground so chickens can reach it comfortably while standing. This height encourages natural pecking behaviour without making them strain or jump excessively.

Is the coconut hanger safe for chickens?
Yes! The natural coconut hanger is completely safe and actually provides additional enrichment. Some chickens enjoy pecking at the coconut material itself, which is harmless and biodegradable.

Can I reuse the coconut hanger?
While the coconut hanger is designed for single use with each block, if it remains intact after the block is finished, you can certainly reuse it with other treats or homemade blocks if desired.
