Feeding Guide: This is a complementary treat best offered in the afternoon after your chickens have eaten their main layers feed. Scatter 50-75g per chicken (approximately 2-3 handfuls for a small flock), or for porridge, add hot water until you achieve desired consistency, allow to cool, and serve in bowls.

Storage: Keep tub sealed and store in a cool, dry place. Use within 6 months of opening for best freshness.

How often can I feed this treat mix?

This is a complementary treat best offered in the afternoon after your chickens have consumed their main layers feed. You can feed it daily, but remember treats should only make up around 10% of your chickens' total diet.

What's the difference between the 600g and 1.2kg sizes?

Both contain exactly the same premium blend - the only difference is quantity. The 600g tub is perfect for smaller flocks or trying the product, whilst the 1.2kg tub offers better value for larger flocks or regular users.

How do I make it into a porridge?

Add hot water gradually to your desired amount of mix, stirring until you achieve a thick, porridge-like consistency. Allow it to cool to a safe temperature before serving in clean bowls or feeders.

Should I feed it dry or as porridge?

Both ways are excellent! Feed dry in warm weather to encourage foraging behaviour and mental stimulation. Make porridge during cold weather to provide warming comfort and help chickens maintain body temperature.

How much should I feed per chicken?

For dry feeding, scatter approximately 50-75g per chicken (about 2-3 handfuls for a small flock). For porridge, use similar amounts but remember it expands when wet, so start with less and adjust as needed.

Can I feed this to chicks?

This mix is formulated for adult chickens. For chicks under 8 weeks old, stick to starter feed. After 8 weeks, you can introduce small amounts gradually.

Will this replace my chickens' layers feed?

No, this is a complementary treat, not a complete feed. Your chickens still need their regular layers pellets or mash as their primary diet to ensure balanced nutrition and consistent egg production.
